Goats
Registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats
We've been breeding registered Nigerian Dwarf goats for more than 10 years.
We have 5 bucklings born this spring, ready to go home today, and 8 bucklings born in 2024, two are polled.
We offer kids for sale in the Spring and bucks and older/non breeding does for sale year round.
Our herd is tested and cleared for CAE/CL and Johne's Disease.
Chicks
For a flock like no others, we have our unique barnyard blend of Brahma, Polish, Ameraucana and other large breeds like Welsummers, Orpingtons and Rhode Island Reds.
Hens will lay eggs that are blue, pink, tan, white, dark brown and olive and should be broody enough to hatch chicks.
Roosters should be docile enough to keep with your flock or large enough for the freezer.
Roosters are not necessary to get eggs from your hens but they are necessary if you want your hens to hatch chicks for you.
Lots of colors including blue genetics.
Straight run.
We are hatching about every 3 weeks and have all ages available.
We are hatching Polish (Buff Laced, Gold Laced and Silver Laced), a limited number of Lavender Orpingtons, Brahmas, and our Barnyard mix.
We are holding back all of our Lavender Orpington hens and most of our other purebred hens this year. We should have Lavender Orpington, Polish, Brahma and
Ameraucana roosters available later this Summer.
Currently, we have mixed breed chickens of Brahma, Polish, Ameraucana, and other heavy breeds we've had in the past, with a limited number of purebreds, mostly roosters, that will be available later this year.
We have chicks available that hatched on 4/6 (about 20) with more expected to hatch on 5/31.
We are focusing on Brahma crosses for dual purpose birds. Many of our crosses will be unique, heavy, feather-footed birds with hens laying large eggs of varying colors.
Hens 13 weeks and older are $15 each with a minimum of 4 and
roosters 13 weeks and older are $12.50 each with a minimum of 8.
Hens from the 4/6 hatch should begin laying in August.
Guinea keets occasionally available throughout the year.
Please contact us for availability of Guinea keets and fertilized eggs.
The Hatchery
Chickens and Ducks
We didn't plan on raising chickens and ducks but my granddaughter's love of both inspired us.
We have fertilized and fresh chilled eggs available from our free range chickens and ducks.
We hatch chicks regularly Spring through Summer and offer a straight run of
Blackmon's Barnyard Blend of Brahma-cross, Ameraucana-cross and other mixed breeds in a variety of colors for a flock like no other, or
Blackmon's Funky Flock of Polish-crosses with crests in a variety of colors.
We also have a limited number of roosters each year for flock or freezer and
pure bred Polish, Brahma and Ameraucana roosters to add to your flock.
We are hatching now.
